Reduced Fee Application

The fee for the application must be paid at the time of submission. However, students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, or who demonstrate financial need in accordance with the guidelines listed on the application, may apply for a reduced application fee and for waived testing fees.

If qualified, the parent may request the reduced fee at application "Checkout," pay the reduced fee of $35.00, then follow the instructions to submit the supporting (income) documentation for BOTH parents. These instructions will be sent to you via email after the Hunter College Elementary School application is created. Documentation must be submitted in the form of 2016 1040 tax returns, or documentation of grant awards/public assistance. If you need assistance meeting these requirements, please call the Admissions Office at 212-860-1401.

If your request to pay a reduced application fee is not approved, you will be required to pay the balance of the $70.00 application fee BY MONEY ORDER. The $35.00 balance must be paid as soon as you receive notification from the HCCS Admissions Office.
