  • Hunter College Elementary School seeks a full time Elementary School French Teacher.  Position is available immediately and is for the remainder of the 2022/2023 school year.
 Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with elementary school teaching experience; Master's degree and New York State K-6 certification is preferred and required within the first four years of employment. 
 
Experience in teaching in diverse schools; experience in developing curriculum content that relates to multiple perspectives; demonstrated multicultural competency and ability to build strong relationships with students from a variety of backgrounds; demonstrated commitment to building and sustaining an inclusive community.

HCCS Audio-Visual Stage Technology Position (theatrical, AV production support)
Hunter College Campus Schools seeks a stage light &/or sound production technician to manage and maintain the audio and visual needs in the HCCS auditorium, a 500-seat school auditorium used for school plays, concerts, speakers and student/parent/faculty meetings.
The position’s responsibilities include:
  • Providing sound/lights/slide projection for assemblies and meetings
  • Providing light and sound support for the drama and music department productions ES/HS
  • Coordinating and guiding student tech team members to provide AV support both as an learning experience and to ensure the school events needs are met if the employee is not available
  • Responsible for equipment maintenance, inventory and ordering renewable supplies
  • Liaising between theatre and music faculty and school administrators in both schools
 
This a Hunter College ITSA hourly position with a starting rate of $21.30/hr and a cap of 32 ½ hours per week ($35,997/yr) and includes benefits after 90 days employment.  This is a fully in-person position.  Minimum requirements includes:  HS Diploma + clearance of fingerprinting.  The ideal candidate has experience working with school theater productions and student crew members, and sound/quality in performance and recording for school concerts.
 
The employee’s schedule of 32.5 hours per week has significant flexibility to accommodate the range of scheduled events at the schools, to adjust for some late afternoon and evening events and when school is not in session.
