Hunter College Campus Schools’ Summer Enrichment Program will run again for its 39th year in July, 2024! We accept students identified as gifted and talented who are entering grades 1-7 from the New York area, nationally, and internationally.
Tuition for the program is $2750, which includes a $100 non-refundable application fee. Our online application is now open and the deadline is May 24th. Admissions is on a first-come, first-serve basis. After initial enrollment, you will be notified of acceptance by email. Keep in mind, due to the number of applicants, acceptance notices may take several weeks. Within this email will be the link to register for the program and submit payment for the entire tuition. Registration will begin on Friday April 8th. We ask that you complete registration by May 31st, so class rosters can be finalized.
We encourage you to submit your application as early as possible to increase your child’s chance of acceptance. Because class sizes are limited, we cannot guarantee placement into our program. As soon as a grade is filled, the application for that grade will close. As a reminder, applications will not be considered without payment of the application fee.
The program will be in session from Monday July 1st through Thursday July 25th. The program is only Monday through Thursday each week, except for Thursday July 4th. Each school day lasts from 9:00 am to 2:25 pm. Students can arrive by 8 am and receive breakfast if they wish. Throughout the school day, students will be taught in three different classes. Each class will be taught by professional teachers in the following subjects: STEM, the arts (visual arts, performance art, and music), and English Language Arts. Students will also have regular break times, as well as lunch and recess each day. In order to provide a robust experience, we utilize space outside of the classroom, like our courtyard, central park, local museums and other places of interest.
An Extended Day Athletic Training Program for 3rd through 7th grade, and an Extended Day Art, Music & Movement Program for 1st and 2nd grade, will be offered as an extended day option this summer! This extended day program will run from 2:30pm-4:30pm. Dismissal for this program will begin at 4:30pm and be no later than 4:45pm. The cost for this program is $525.
