HCHS 8th grade students visit the powerful Museum of Jewish Heritage: A living memorial to the Holocaust
With thanks to Assemblymember Alex Bores, the full 8th grade class took guided tours of the Museum of Jewish Heritage's exhibit, The Holocaust: What Hate Can Do and The Garden of Stones . HCHS is grateful to Assemblymember Bores for creating this opportunity and to Social Studies Department Chair, Ms. Jawanda for organizing this trip and the many teachers and parents who helped chaperone this trip.

The Garden of Stones by Andy Goldsworthy
This living memorial garden of trees growing from stone was planted by the artist, Holocaust survivors, and their families in 2003. The contemplative space is meant to be visited and revisited, presenting new experiences as the garden matures over time.
