Hello to the new middle-school FTC robotics team, the RoHawklings, team #24661

Congratulations to the middle school students on the inaugural FTC robotics team!  Student leaders on the HS FRC team 3419, the RoHawks, wanted to build opportunities for younger students who are not age-eligible to compete in the senior HS program.  Under the extraordinary student leadership of sophomores Sophie R and Alice W, the first group of RoHawklings (with a massive lift from team parents, thank you!) built a robot at one of the NYC FIRST STEM CENTERS https://www.nycfirst.org/stem-centers and competed against more established teams, finishing in the top half of the competitors.  Their next competition is on Jan 13th at Francis Lewis HS.  Good Luck RoHawklings!
