HCHS Senior named a National Student Poet- Congratulations Miles!

HCHS Senior Miles H. named one of the five National Student Poets, the country's highest honor for youth poets presenting original work.  The Institute of Museum and Library Service and the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers partner with the NSPP (National Student Poets Program) to recognize exceptional creativity and dedication to craft.  Chosen from among the National Medalists in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, with input from a jury of established poets and leaders in the education and arts, the regional student poets, (Miles represents the Northeast Region of the country) will serve as literary ambassadors and will share their poetry this year at a number of events.  Congratulations to Miles--we loved hearing your perform your spoken word at the HCHS Convocation last year!   More info here:  https://newsroom.artandwriting.org/2023/08/23/meet-the-class-of-2023-national-student-poets/
