HCCS Girls' Chess Team wins National Title

Members of the chess team participated in the All-Girls National Chess Championships in Chicago.  The Under 12 team [Lisa S (6), Fiona T (5), Indira V(5)] won 1st place and are the Under 12 National Champions.  Lisa S. won 7th place individually. 

The Under 8 team [Dena W (1), Layo A(2), Audem B(2), Diana S(2)] won 3rd place.
Dena won 1st place and is the National champion.  This win earns her the right to represent the US at the 2022 World Cadet Championship.

Phoebe M (4) played in the Under 10 division as well.
