RFK Human Rights organziation visits HCHS

HCHS students met with Human Rights activists who are being honored by RFK Human Rights 50th Anniversary "Ripple of Hope" celebration later this evening.
The Social Studies department hosted Ms. Kerry Kennedy of the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization and their honored guests Dr. Frank Mugisha and Pepe Julian Onziema (Uganadan LGBT rights activists) and Librada Paz of the Rural Migrant Ministry for a discussion with students about the importantance of Human Rights activism.  Actress Catherine Keener and other supporters joined the conversation.  Special thanks to Department Chair, Ms. Jawanda for bringing these guests to HCHS.
