HCHS Science Research Students Attend the Regeneron STS Public Exhibition in Washington, DC

Thanks to the generosity of the HCHS Alumnae/i Association, current Hunter College High School science research students had the opportunity to attend the Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) Public Exhibition on Sunday, March 8, in Washington, DC.

During the event, students explored the work of the 40 national finalists and had the chance to meet them, including HCHS finalists Sid P. and Kaya P. The experience allowed students to engage directly with cutting-edge research and learn more about the scientific work being conducted by their peers from across the country.

Special thanks go to HCHS science faculty members Mr. Park and Ms. Gonzalez for coordinating the trip, and to Principal Dr. Fisher for joining the HCHS group for the day.

The Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science research competition for high school students. Established in 1942 as the Westinghouse Science Talent Search, the program recognizes and supports some of the nation’s most promising young scientists as they develop innovative ideas aimed at addressing society’s most pressing challenges.
