HCHS Alumnae Alyssa Katz ('86) & Yuna Youn ('01) talk to HS students

Ms. Alyssa Katz (HCHS Class of1986) , Executive Director of The City spoke to the Journalism students and Social Studies classes about the current state of journalism in NYC and analyzed the recent Mayoral Election reporting.

Ms. Yuna Youn, LCSW (HCHS Class of 2001) joined the Asian Cultural Society club for a lunch time discussion.  She is the Clinic Director of the Mental Health Clinic for Korean Community Services of Metropolitan NY and the recent author of two short graphic books exploring the experiences of young immigrants in NYC.  She shared copies of her work :  I'm Speaking featuring young immigrants and another text, I'm Wide Awake about immigrant student experiences in the classroom in the
