Hunter Hawk Walk Team Raises $4,872 for Suicide Prevention
On October 25, members of the Hunter community came together at Pier 16 and 17 in the Seaport District for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, NYC Out of the Darkness Walk, walking in support of suicide prevention and mental health awareness. This year marked the third consecutive year our HunterHawks have participated as a team.
With 30 members on the Hunter Hawk Walk Team, an incredible $4,872 was raised, reflecting the compassion, generosity, and commitment of our school community.
Beyond the miles walked and the money raised, the day was about showing up for one another, helping break the silence around mental health, and reminding people that no one has to face their struggles alone.
A special thank-you to faculty members Dr. Tony Fisher, Colleen Hennessy, Elizabeth Fox, Ellen Fox, Jackie Kalter, and Victoria Meng for helping bring the HunterHawkWalk team together.
We are proud of our HunterHawks for walking with purpose, leading with compassion, and showing what it means to be there for one another. 💙
