HCCS Alumni Achievement Spotlight: Tori Cheah

 
We are thrilled to celebrate one of Hunter’s distinguished alumni, Victoria (Tori) Cheah, Class of 2006.
Tori continued her academic and artistic path through the Hunter College Honors College and later earned her Ph.D. in Composition from Brandeis University. She is currently a faculty member at the Berklee College of Music/Boston Conservatory.

We are proud to share that she has been named a 2026–27 Rome Prize winner in Music Composition, one of the field’s most prestigious honors.
