HCES Students Take Part in NASA Artemis II Mission Town Hall at CBS Studios
Several HCES students recently attended the NASA Artemis Town Hall Meeting at the CBS Studios, representing HCCS during an extraordinary live broadcast focused on the future of space exploration.
The Artemis II astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen, joined CBS Mornings for a special live town hall as part of the “Things That Matter” series. During the event, they shared insights about their historic upcoming Moon mission and engaged directly with students, answering questions from the next generation of space explorers.
HCES students had the exciting opportunity to meet and interact with Bill Nye the Science Guy, acclaimed director and producer Ron Howard, and CBS Mornings anchors Gayle King, Nate Burleson, and Vlad Duthiers. Ron Howard spoke about his film Apollo 13 and reflected on the history of space exploration and the future of human spaceflight. HCES Students who attended were: Evelyn C(5th grade), Roman C (6th grade),Brody F (1st grade),
Elisa F(4th grade), Stephanie H (6th grade), Billy R-L(6th grade), Ameya R (6th grade), Anvika V (5th grade), Isabel V (5th Grade) and Quincy W (5th grade).
We are so appreciative of the opportunity given to our HCES students to be in the presence of these NASA history makers and we are proud of our students for representing the HCCS community so well! Thanks to Science Specialist, Ms. Kate Macaulay for chaperoning this early morning adventure.
