Hunter Student Film Selected for Prestigious NYC Youth Film Showcase

We are thrilled to celebrate Jackson V, a junior at HCHS , whose original film has been selected as one of only ten films to be featured in the Water Stories: Youth Film Showcase in honor of World Oceans Day at Hudson River Park.

Presented by Here On Earth and the NYU Wallerstein Collaborative, Water Stories highlights youth voices exploring themes of water, environmental stewardship, climate issues, and our connection to the natural world through film.

Jackson’s achievement reflects remarkable creativity, initiative, and storytelling. He also credits fellow Hunter student Lucas N., who starred in the film and composed its music, as an important collaborator on the project.

The screening will take place on:
Friday, June 5
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Pier 66 at Hudson River Park
New York, NY

Please note: The event is currently SOLD OUT, but a waitlist is available.

Join the Waitlist here!

The evening will include youth film screenings, interactive environmental experiences, a filmmaker Q&A, and an Audience Choice Award.

Congratulations, Jackson and Lucas on this exciting accomplishment, we are incredibly proud to celebrate your work!
