The Hunter Middle School Boys Volleyball team are once again the kings of New York City!

The Hunter Middle School Boys Volleyball team are once again the kings of New York City!

The Hawks captured the MSAL City Championship today with a thrilling 2-1 victory over K554 Brooklyn in a hard-fought championship match. After dropping the opening set 25-19, Hunter showed the resilience, grit, and character that defined their season. The team rallied together as the close-knit group they have become, responding with a dominant 25-17 win in the second set to force a deciding third set.

With the championship on the line, the Hawks stepped up in a big way, controlling the final set and securing a 15-8 victory to claim the city title.

Hunter first captured the Manhattan Championship and then completed their championship run by bringing home the City Championship trophy. With today's victory, the Hawks have now won back-to-back MSAL City Championships, an incredible accomplishment for the program.

A special congratulations goes to tournament MVP Alex Kwon, whose outstanding play and leadership helped power Hunter to another championship season.

Congratulations to all of the players and coaches on an unforgettable year.
