National Girls and Women in Sports Day - Wednesday Feb 4, 2026

    AA

The Hunter community is proud to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day - Wednesday Feb 4, 2026 —dedicated to recognizing the strength, dedication, and achievements of girls and women who participate at every level.

Sports foster confidence, resilience, teamwork, leadership, and lifelong healthy habits. Our female student-athletes, coaches, and mentors demonstrate these values every day—on the field, on the court, in the pool, and beyond. They inspire their peers and help shape a Hunter community where determination and teamwork thrive.

We also recognize the importance of equity and opportunity in athletics. When girls are encouraged and supported in sports, everyone benefits. The day is a reminder to continue championing inclusive programs and celebrating the accomplishments of ALL athletes.

Please join us in applauding the girls and women in our Hawks community who compete, coach, officiate, and support our sports programs with passion and perseverance. Your hard work and commitment do not go unnoticed, and we are very proud of you.
    With appreciation and GO HAWKS!!

HAWKS DEFEAT MLK FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY - CONGRATS TO BOYS VARSITY SOCCER - MLK IS CURRENTLY RANKED #10 IN THE COUNTRY

    AA
Hunter’s boys varsity soccer team scored a huge upset in a match against (ranked #10 nationally) MLK. Goals by standout Junior Abisayo Abe and freshman Julien Strong (both assisted by captain Bryan Bergman Chudnow) were able to compliment a stellar performance by senior capital Ian Nicholson in a 2-0 win over the Knights. This loss for MLK marks their first in league play for three seasons and adds a jolt to Hunter’s season aspirations. We all look forward to seeing the Hawks keep up their amazing play on the pitch!
