HAWKS 57 - STUY 44

Hunter rebounded from an early season loss to rival Stuy HS with a convincing 57-44 win.  The victory moves Hunter to 6-5 in league play and one step closer to clinching a spot in the PSAL playoffs.  Hunter led at half 22-20 but closed out the third quarter on an 8-0 run.      Hunter was led by junior captain Merlin Gogolin with 44 points and 17 rebounds.   Senior captain Gavin Levy added 12 blocks.   Senior captain Robin Lim added 8 points.   The players of the game were junior Merlin Gogolin and senior Gavin Levy.   Next up  for Hunter is a match up vs first place Bayard Rustin HS.  Hunter vs Bayard will take place this Saturday at 2pm in the HUNTER GYM.  GO HAWKS !
